    Mohammad Reza Shajarian has been considered the finest classical singer in Iran for the last forty years. His singing is technically flawless, powerful, and strongly emotional. Persian traditional singing is one of the most difficult arts to master. Shajarian is the embodiment of the perfect singer and a major source of inspiration. Bidad, literally means Injustice. It is also the name of the gusheh in the Persian traditional repertoire on which the music in this recording is based (World Village 468043)
