    Twenty one years old, Mozart began a solo tour without his father but with his mother present instead. This was his first taste of freedom from Leopold's guiding hand. During this tour he discovered sex, fell in love, proposed marriage, and was rejected. He also saw his mother die and buried her in a lonely grave in Paris. This was the time when Mozart grew up, and became the adult we hear in his music (RNZ)
