The government is investing in Sustainable Foods, a plant based food producer on the Kapiti Coast.
As part of the strategy by the government to develop a low emissions high skill economy that meets global demands.
Sustainable Foods will get a loan of up to 1.25 million dollars to continue expanding its range and compete in the Northern Hemisphere market.
Justin Lemmens is co-founder and CEO of Sustainable Foods, he talks to Wallace.
1:30 Support and care workers about to deliver their petition to parliament
A petition is about to be delivered to parliament supporting a better pay offer for support care workers around Aotearoa, signed by more than 10 thousand people supporting their bid. (timed for 2.30 this afternoons)
Over the past day they have been rallying on the streets after being offered only a 3 percent increase from the government.

1:40 100 years of the NZ Meat Board - how its survived
Today marks 140 years since our first export of frozen sheep to the UK - a lot has changed since then.
It's also 100 years this year since the New Zealand Meat board was established, an industry that in that time has gone through many transformations.
To mark the centenary a series of books have been commissioned looking at the challenges, changes and innovation by the sheep and meat sector.
The third book is covering the last 25 years for the industry and will be out at the end of June. It's called Meeting Change: the NZ Red Meat Story 1997-2022 and was co-authored by Ali Spencer who talks to Wallace.
