There have been lots people working really hard to get food to those in need due to flooding.
As soon as they got power back, the chefs at Craggy Range have been working hard to make food for those in need.
Last week they turned 12 tonnes of food into eleven thousand meals!
Mary's owner and Craggy Range head chef, Casey MacDonald talks to Jesse about their work and how well received their meals have been.

1.25 Park(ing) Day
Artists are set to take up to 30 parking spaces in Wellington City next weekend to encourage debate around how public spaces are used.
The artists and creatives will then use the spaces to create their own art.
It's the tenth year the event has been run. Sue Elliot's the Chair of Wellington Sculpture Trust which organises the event. She talks to Jesse.

3:10 Helen Lehndorf's memoir, A Forager's Life
When Helen Lehndorf forages along paths in parks in the city, or in the wild spaces of the Manawatu, she gets some greens for her dinner, and solace for her soul. She's been foraging since she was a child, connecting what we eat with how we feel for most of her life. For her, being able to feed herself is empowering. That took on special meaning when she had her second son was diagnosed with autism. Too often, she says, she felt like the world rejected her son. Taking time to forage, to be in nature, gave her respite and connection. She shares her personal story as well as recipes and foraging tips in her memoir, A Forager's Life.
