New Zealand's wait for a medal at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games continues.

Lewis Clareburt had hoped to end a 28-year medal drought in the Olympic pool for New Zealand, but didn't quite have the legs in the 400m individual medley final, finishing in sixth.

Luuka Jones was also there or thereabouts in the K1 slalom but couldn't replicate her performance from the 2016 Rio Games, this time finishing in 8th place.

NZ's rowers and sailors though are in good form, and look good ahead of finals later in the week.
