Strong winds and constantly changing weather patterns may have contributed to jellyfish being washed ashore on some beaches in American Samoa.

The Department of Marine and Wildlife's Shawn Felise says they have received calls about jellyfish being washed onto the beach.
He explained that the most common form of jellyfish found in the waters of American Samoa is the hydroid jellyfish and he has warned the community that they can pose a danger for humans due to its painful sting.
