Police say four men are facing charges in relation to an attempted robbery at a store in Taupō, as well as offending in Auckland.
On Wednesday 26 July, police were called to a store on Tamamutu Street after reports of two men, one with a firearm, damaging property and attempting to take items.
In a statement, police said the pair were believed to have left the scene with two other people in a stolen vehicle.
The four men who were from Counties Manukau were taken into custody after police executed a search on a property there on 23 August.
The men, aged 25, 27, 31 and 38, were due to reappear in Manukau District Court on Monday and on 14 September, 22 November, and 17 November respectively.
They are facing a variety of charges in relation to the Taupō offending and other offending committed in the Tāmaki Makaurau area.
Police said charges included assault with intent to rob, aggravated robbery, unlawful taking of a motor vehicle and participation in an organised crime group.
Police said they were continuing to investigate the attempted robbery in Taupō and could not rule out further arrests being made.
