At least one person is critically injured following a multi-vehicle crash in Auckland's Dairy Flat.
The crash, which appears to involved three vehicles, occurred on the Northern Motorway, heading north, shortly after 2pm on Thursday.
"Initial indications suggest there have been critical injuries," police said.
Footage of the scene shows multiple police cars, ambulances, fire trucks and a helicopter.
Both northbound lanes were blocked from the Oteha Valley Road on-ramp and traffic was building, police said.
"Motorists are advised to expect lengthy delays and asked to take an alternate route where possible."
