Women call for transparency and an end to pay secrecy

Women around the country are calling on the government to end pay secrecy and establish an independent pay transparency agency. They're sharing their stories of pay discrimination as part of a campaign by the Human Rights' Comission and they want pay secrecy under the Equal Pay Act scrapped. They're calling for employers to make information on pay scales and career progression readily available. Fala Haulangi became a union advocate after years of fighting for equal pay for herself and others - and it all started in a strawberry farm.
