When Kiwi muso Noel Coutts rescued his magnificent schooner at the dock in Picton, he was worried the boat was about to sink. The Lady Sterling is 16-metres (52ft) and was built of the finest kauri in 1920. The schooner was designed to race in the Pacific, and spent some time cruising around as a mobile dentist's vessel and even had a piano aboard at one stage. It's now moored in Queenstown and ready for its new owners.
