The Employment Court will meet under urgency on Thursday to consider an injunction to stop a planned strike by Allied Health workers at public hospitals tomorrow.
The injunction was lodged by District Health Boards, who want the union, the Public Service Association, to lift the strike notice.
DHBs argue the strike would bundle pay equity and wage issues together, and at a bad time, during Omicron.
Allied health workers reject this, saying the DHB employers have had plenty of time before now to address the issues.
