The Tasman region is preparing for another battering of heavy rain today following a weekend of wet weather.
Nelson residents were evacuated after the Maitai River burst its banks on Saturday but returned after river levels dropped.

MetService now has a new heavy rain warning in place for Tasman from Motueka westwards from six o'clock this morning, with 85 millimetres of rain falling in the Tasman ranges since midnight.
