Recovery for bodies at PNG landslide ends

The Papua New Guinea provincial government has officially ended their search for bodies due to the risk of dieases spreading and the potential for new landslides.

At least 670 people thought to have died during the landslip are now deemed missing persons and the area is now a designated mass burial site. 

New Zealand Geotech experts in Papua New Guinea have advised for the immediate evacuation of a group of people who are at risk of another landslide in Enga province.
