Paul Goldsmith on National Party economic plans

From Morning Report, 8:25 am on 3 August 2020

National Party finance spokesperson Paul Goldsmith says the party has more of an economic plan that Labour, as the wage subsidy nears its end.

Goldsmith has accused Finance Minister Grant Robertson of downplaying job losses when the wage subsidy ends.

Roberston refused to predict what percentage of the 437,000 Kiwis on the subsidy would keep their jobs in an interview on Q+A yesterday.

The Prime Minister told Morning Report earlier that the Labour Party plans to reduce the government's debt, but not at the pace outlined by the National Party, which she says would result in massive cuts.
